Israeli police officer arrested on suspicion of participating in shootout

A police officer from Arad was arrested on Monday evening on suspicion of involvement in a shootout and a fight between the two clans, in which two people were injured. The N12 channel reports this.

The suspect has been placed under house arrest for the duration of the internal investigation.

The officer's father and brother have also been arrested.

The suspect's lawyer Mohammad Rachel said the family is “absolutely normal” and has no ties to the criminals.

The shooting took place after two neighboring families quarreled over the use of electricity. Two people — one seriously wounded and one of moderate severity — hospitalized.
