Israeli Ministry of Health launches campaign to vaccinate children against polio
|The Israeli Ministry of Health has launched a polio vaccination campaign for children aged six weeks to 17 years across the country.
The Ministry of Health announced this at a briefing on Tuesday, writes The Jerusalem Post.
The vaccination campaign comes as a number of cases of polio have been identified in children who have not been vaccinated. At least 8 children were diagnosed with polio, and seven of them were asymptomatic.
Director-General of the Ministry of Health Prof. country will reach 90%. He noted that the higher the level of immunization, the less likely it is for the development of new variants.
