 An Israeli spent 4 hours in jail for violating COVID restrictions

75-year-old Ashkelon resident Mike Peleg spent 4 hours in prison for violating coronavirus restrictions.

the first quarantine in Israel, according to The Times of Israel. The man went to the beach, for which he was fined 500 shekels.

Peleg decided not to pay the fine and applied to the court, which decided to replace the fine with one day in prison.

On Wednesday, Mike Peleg arrived at Dekel Prison in Beersheba on Wednesday and was released just four hours later.
