Israeli illusionist Uri Geller founded his microstate

< p>

Israeli illusionist Uri Geller has established his own microstate on a Scottish island he owns.

According to Arutz Sheva, Geller bought Lamb Island in 2009 and is now urging the public to become citizens of his “country”.

For $1, Geller is offering the chance to become citizens of his new microstate, with all profits going to Save a Child's Heart, an Israeli charity that helps children with heart disease .

The illusionist explained that citizenship on a desert island would be purely symbolic.

Uri Geller himself calls the island “perhaps the most mystical island in the world.” Lamb is shrouded in myths, including allegations of a connection to the supposed burial site of the Celtic King Arthur.
