For the first time, noise reduction technology in the textile industry with sound waves is on the production lines of leading fashion brands.
Axel Peiper, Owner and Vice – President of Technology of the German textile machinery company Bruckner came to Israel and visited the Delta factories, where the first of its kind “green” was installed textile machine developed jointly with the Israeli company Sonovia. Bruckner is responsible for the production of a quarter of the world's textile machines.
This is the first commercial installation of Israeli technology on an international industrial line. Delta will use the “green”
The fashion textile industry is responsible for 20% of the world's polluting wastewater and 1.2 billion tons of greenhouse gases, which is 10% all emissions. This industry ranks first in the global table of environmental pollution.
The technologies that exist today to impart properties such as water-repellent, odor-absorbing and antibacterial to textiles are carried out by impregnating the fabric with some substance and cause significant environmental pollution. Sonovia performs this treatment with sonic wave technology, without the use of polluting chemicals, greatly reducing environmental pollution in the process and creating a wash-resistant fabric. Sonovia has developed an ultrasonic machine, which is the only one of its kind in the world, in cooperation with the German company Bruckner Textile Machiner.
Sonovia was established in 2013 with the aim of commercializing Bar Ilan University's patents for sustainable textile processing . The company's shares were listed on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange in December 2020.
The technology of the Israeli company Sonovia allows the use of sound waves, the activity of which does not harm the environment, with a longer service life of the product itself.
Sonovia technology is very easy to connect to any textile production line. More recently, Delta's Karmiel factory has begun integrating the Sonovia Sonofix machine, manufactured by the German company Bruckner, into the company's development and production line, and is about to become the first company to produce sustainable textiles.
In 2023, Sonovia intends to introduce its technology from a number of leading manufacturers in the world that produce products for giant companies Nike, Adidas, North Face, etc.
