Israeli fined for attacking policemen in UAE

A court in Abu Dhabi has fined Israeli citizen Nachman Gabai NIS 58,000, who is accused of assaulting police officers at an airport.

It was decided not to imprison the Israeli, but to deport him.

The trial began 10 days ago. A Jerusalem resident was arrested at Abu Dhabi airport last Monday after waiting there for about 8 hours for a connecting flight to India.

As he waited outside the terminal, a police car pulled up next to him asked him present documents. It is specified that Gabay has post-traumatic stress disorder. He was arrested after an altercation with the police. During the search, nothing was found on the Israeli. Gabay is waiting for his flight home to Israel.
