Israeli doctors perform first organ transplant in Gaza

Over the weekend, Israeli doctors performed two kidney transplants in Gaza for the first time.
Dr. Abed Halayle, Head of the Kidney Transplant Department at Hadassah Hospital, and Dr. Summer Diab, Vascular Surgeon at the Rambam Health Campus, transplanted two young women. This was reported by Ynet.
Doctors who are members of the NGO Physicians for Human Rights were accompanied by 25 other medical workers.
The delegation also brought medicines and medical equipment to Gaza, assisted other patients and conducted mental health training for local medical staff.
