Israeli diamond tycoon arrested on rape charges

Businessman and diamond tycoon Yisrael Ohr (46) was arrested on arrival in Israel on suspicion of rape, obscene and threatening acts.
Nine complaints were filed against Ora by women who claimed to have been sexually abused by him. Several women, including former beauty queen Tehila Levi, testified on a television program that while they were in a relationship with Or, he abused them and committed sex crimes against them using a “rape drug”. The police opened an investigation after receiving complaints and waited until Or returned to Israel to arrest him. He will appear before the Tel Aviv Magistrates' Court for a hearing on whether to extend his detention.
