The representative of the delegation from the Israeli Foreign Ministry at the World Cup in Qatar, Alon Lavi, once again urged citizens who went to Doha to be careful. He said this in an interview with Haruts Sheva. “There will likely be problems, even the most basic ones, from lost travel documents and medical issues to more complex ones. Therefore, there is a need for a consular delegation that can help,” he said. According to Lavi, it is necessary to remember that the Israelis are guests in an Arab country with which there are no diplomatic relations. He urged citizens to behave correctly, avoid trouble and follow the rules regarding the use of alcohol and drugs. He added that following the rules will provide protection against various security threats. “But at the end of the day, these people are here to enjoy football. You must remember that the Qataris will do everything to ensure that the Games are peaceful,” he added.
