Israeli delegation of doctors travels to Ethiopia

A delegation of six doctors and nurses from Assuta Hospital went to Ethiopia on a humanitarian mission.
Israeli specialists will train local teams in minimally invasive surgery, as well as complex cancer surgery.
< br /> The delegation is headed by Professor Hanoch Kashtaniz of the surgical department of the hospital. According to him, the fact that Israelis are present everywhere in the world — in Turkey, Ethiopia and any other country, — is a matter of great pride and privilege.
“In Ethiopia, the goal is not only to provide medical care, but to train the country's medical teams to provide it,” he said.
The delegation will meet with senior officials from the Ethiopian Ministry of Health.
