Israel is thinking about donating vaccines to African countries

Israel is considering sending millions of doses of coronavirus vaccine to Africa.

According to The Jerusalem Post, the relevant information was confirmed by the Foreign Ministry .

To date, in South Africa, where a new strain of Omicron coronavirus has been identified, about 25% of the population has been vaccinated. In some African countries, less than 1% of citizens were vaccinated.

In Israel, the immunization campaign of the population started on December 20 last year. Since then, more than 16 million doses have been administered.

The Jewish state has come under fire from the World Health Organization for introducing a booster vaccination campaign amid vaccine shortages in poor countries.
