Israel has figured out how to make vegan meat

Israeli startup Yemoja has found a way to make vegan burgers and steaks juicy and plant-based meats bloody. This is reported by The Jerusalem Post.

Researchers suggest using porphyridium algae, which are red in color. The addition of these algae and some of their derivatives to plant foods gives the food a “ bloody '' texture and appearance. And all this without harm to animals.

Co-founder and CEO of Yemoja, Erez Ashkenazi, said there is a strong demand for “ blood '' of vegetable origin.

Food manufacturers have “ tinted '' before meat products for vegans and vegetarians using, for example, beet juice. But when cooked, such meat did not look like natural.
