The Shin Bet prevented 172 major terrorist attacks last year, Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar said at an employee awards ceremony.
According to Bahr, the security forces failed to prevent 7 attacks.
The attacks that the Shin Bet prevented ranged from gunfire to bombings and suicide attacks, each of which could result in the death of several civilians.
