Israel is concerned that the terrorist group Hezbollah can carry out “provocations” before Israel and Lebanon sign an agreement on maritime demarcation.
Israeli TV Channel 12 reports.
The report does not specify what kind of “provocation” , according to security officials, intends to carry out Hezbollah.
The message comes after a few days earlier, the leader of Hezbollah Hassan Nasrallah threatened Israel with escalation if Lebanese demands were not met during the talks. Prior to this, Israel intercepted several Hezbollah drones that were launched towards the gas field.
Earlier, a source in Lebanon said that Israel and Lebanon are close to signing an agreement on the demarcation of maritime borders. According to him, it is expected that the agreement between the parties will be signed very soon – in September.
