“Israel can achieve herd immunity”
Director General of the Ministry of Health Nachman Ash gave an interview to 103FM.
Ash tried to explain the paradox in which Israel is practically open to flights, but one hundred thousands of schoolchildren are in isolation, and the coronavirus is spreading like wildfire.
Ash said that the Ministry of Health currently considers it its main task to protect vulnerable segments of the population.
Ash said : & ldquo; Where will it stop? – Hard to say. We can achieve herd immunity, but at the cost of a very large number of infections. Very high numbers are needed to achieve herd immunity, and these numbers are achievable. It is very important that everyone who has not received the third dose, and there are about a million of them, go and get vaccinated. This could be the key to stopping the epidemic & rdquo ;.
