Israel turned to Greece: You arrested the wrong person

Israel has called on Greece to release Israeli Doudi Ashkenazi, who is suspected of drug-related crimes. The Israeli side claims that the Greek police arrested the wrong person due to a confusion in identification.

This is reported by Israel Hayom.

Dudi Ashkenazi, 52, arrived on vacation with his wife Greek island of Kos and was arrested immediately after landing. His family has repeatedly stated that he was detained by mistake.

As it became known, Dudi Ashkenazi's personal data, in particular his passport, could be stolen and used for criminal purposes.
