 Education lockdown lifted next Thursday

In the past few weeks, all parents have been under a lot of stress. The Omicron wave has hit Israel, and student mental health research is not just frightening, it's horrifying.

In a week, from next Thursday, the isolation plan for students who have been in contact with patients with coronavirus will be canceled.

Instead, all students will take two tests each week, on Sundays and Wednesdays. Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, Education Minister Shasha Bitton and Health Minister Nitzan Horowitz came to this conclusion. Those students who test negative can safely go to school. Those who test positive for the coronavirus are placed under the supervision of health insurance companies. Once the test is negative, the student may return to class.
If the test is positive, the student will be in isolation for five full days, but until fully recovered (subject to negative home tests on days 4 and 5).
Students who have been in contact with a verified student will no longer be required to go into isolation.
Home test kits will be distributed free of charge to all students from time to time.
