The island of New Britain, Papua New Guinea, was struck by an earthquake of magnitude 6.0.
It happened on Sunday, January 9th.
By According to the European Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC), the focus was located at a depth of 15 km.
No information about casualties and destruction was received.
