Islamic Jihad: Our double agents prevented the assassination of a Quds commander

Akram Al-Ajuri, military commander of the Al-Quds Brigade, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, said in an interview with Al Jazeera that “Operation “Hommesh” was aimed at capturing and destroying the occupying soldiers, since the problem of prisoners is one of the most important.

Under the operation “Homesh” Al-Ajuri was referring to the shelling by Palestinian terrorists near the village of Homesh in the north of Samaria, which killed Yehuda Dimentman and wounded two more students in the Har Shalom yeshiva.

Ajuri is confident that the PIJ militants managed to stop infiltration of Israeli intelligence into its ranks, thanks to the recruitment of two double agents. One of the agents was able to trick an Israeli intelligence officer and return after completing his mission.

According to the commander, a double agent hired by the PIJ managed to photograph an Israeli intelligence officer whom he met before returning to Gaza.Ajuri believes that these actions helped prevent the assassination of a high-ranking commander of the Al-Quds Brigade; and revealed the ISA recruitment strategy.
