A court in Tehran sentenced to death a man with citizenship of Iran and Germany, sentenced to death.
He is accused of being a leader " “terrorist” group behind the 2008 mosque bombing that killed people.
Tehran's Revolutionary Court sentenced Jamshid Sharmahd, leader of the Tondar terrorist group, to death on charges of planning and leadership of terrorist acts”, —

It is specified that Sharmahd can appeal the verdict to the Supreme Court. Sharmahd, 67, a native of Iran, is a German citizen and a US resident. He was arrested in August 2020.
The group he is accused of leading is seeking to overthrow the Iranian regime. It has been declared a terrorist organization in Iran.
