Iranian Ambassador to Yemen died of COVID

Iranian Ambassador to Yemen Hasan Irloo died of coronavirus on Tuesday, December 21, Iranian television reported. This is also reported by The Washington Post.

According to Iranian media, Irloo contracted COVID while in Yemen. Last weekend, he was recalled from Yemen, ostensibly for urgent medical care in Iran.

Previously, the press reported that Hassan Irloo was being removed from office due to the growing contradictions between Iran and the Houthis. The Iranian Foreign Ministry denies this version.
