Iran plot against Israelis in Turkey: conflicting reports
An assassination attempt on an Israeli consular officer in Istanbul was thwarted last year, not recently. It is reported by Walla, citing a high-ranking source in Israel. He confirmed reports that the Iranian plot had thwarted the Mossad. Earlier, Iran International reported that a mercenary from the Al-Quds unit was recently arrested in Europe on suspicion of plotting the assassination of an Israeli diplomat, an American general in Germany and a journalist in France. He received 150 thousand dollars for the preparation of the assassination attempts, and upon completion of the operation he was promised another million.
