 Iran: 'Marxist' arrested for conspiring with 'spies'

Iranian authorities have arrested a man accused of having links with two French citizens who were detained on espionage charges. > This is reported by The Times of Israel.

According to the Iranian press, the detainee is a “Marxist”. He visited alleged “spies” on the eve of May 1 – International Day of Solidarity of Workers. The meeting took place as part of a plot to “cause unrest among the workers.”

The sex of the detainee was not disclosed. It is known that he was arrested by special services while trying to leave the country. He was allegedly tasked with rallying workers and teachers to take part in street protests.
