International Olympic Committee (IOC) President Thomas Bach made a visit to Israel, during which he visited the Israeli National Olympic Committee (NOC). Bach visited the National Olympic Committees of Jordan, the PA, Israel and Egypt from 18 to 24 September.

During his visit to Israel, Bach awarded the former head of the NOC Israel's Yigal Karmi with the Olympic Order.
In addition, the IOC President visited the grave of Alex Giladi, IOC member in Israel. After laying the wreath, according to Jewish tradition, Thomas Bach left a stone on the grave. Thomas Bach also visited the headquarters of the Israeli NOC and the Israeli Olympic Museum, and held a meeting with the executive board of the Israeli NOC.
Also had a lunch with the families of the victims of the 1972 Munich Olympic massacre. The head of the IOC also met with Israeli President Yitzhak Herzog and Sports Minister Healy Tropper as a sign of respect for each of them.
They discussed the international situation and issues of mutual interest.
