Russia hid its aircraft, fearing that the Armed Forces of Ukraine could strike at it.

Andriy Yusov, a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, reports this in a comment to the Kyiv Post .

According to him, Russian military aviation is located mainly on the territory of the Russian Federation, namely, at least 200 km from the border with Ukraine, in the zone inaccessible to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to intelligence, the Russian Federation may use aviation to support ground forces in the east of the war-torn country, mainly in the Donbass.

“The Russian offensive in the east continues, and this is the implementation of Putin's plan to seize the territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions by the end of March, – Yusov believes.

In his opinion, Russia's attempt to conquer the eastern regions of Ukraine will fail, whether aircraft are used or not.

“Russia will not be able to implement this plan. In order to protect Ukraine, we need to strengthen not only our air defense, but also aviation, in particular, & ndash; he emphasized.
