Intel showed technology for detecting deepfakes

< p>

Intel's technology is called FakeCatcher. The company notes that they are developing it to recognize deepfakes, which have become popular among those who use such videos to spread false information, writes Bloomberg.

FakeCatcher is able to distinguish a real person from a deepfake, including due to color changes in the bloodstream — this information is read from many points on the face. The technology then uses machine learning to process the information.

The company says the technology works with up to 96% accuracy.

Intel has yet to say if FakeCatcher will ever be released publicly. .
