Indian politician, head of government of the Indian state of Punjab Bhagwant Mann was hospitalized with an infection after drinking water from the “sacred” River Kali Bein.

According to The Indian Express, the politician decided to drink water on the occasion of the 22nd anniversary of the water purification project, which began on July 16, 2000.

Through two days later, the politician began to suffer from abdominal pain and he was hospitalized. Despite the trouble, he was discharged a few days later.
