An American woman was "punished" in Russia for walking a calf on Red Square

In Russia, “punished” American Alicia Day, who was detained on January 31 for walking a calf on Red Square.

According to TASS, the Moscow Migration Service banned the woman from entering the Russian Federation for 40 years.

The relevant decision was announced in Trinity Court. Appropriate measure of “punishment” will be valid until February 13, 2063.

On Day, a protocol was drawn up in part 3 of article 18.8 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (“Violation by a foreigner of the rules of entry or regime of stay in the Russian Federation”). According to the case file, the American entered the Russian Federation on a non-tourist visa. She lived in the country without registration, which she didn't get, because she didn't even know what to do.

The police filed two protocols against her at once. The first is about violating the procedure for holding a demonstration, the second is about disobedience to a police officer. As a result, the woman was fined 20,000 rubles and placed under administrative arrest for 13 days.

According to Meduza, the American explained her walk with the calf on Red Square. According to Day, she bought the animal from Avito to save it from slaughter. After that, she decided to “show him the country.” It is clarified that this is not the first time a woman has behaved in this way. For example, in 2019 she walked a pig in London, and last year she walked a ram in Warsaw.
