In the Norwegian army there is a shortage of underwear

Norwegian conscripts are forced to return underwear after completing their service because the army is experiencing difficulties due to the coronavirus pandemic.

According to The Guardian, until recently soldiers who completed their service were allowed to leave the army with their underwear issued. But the pandemic has complicated the supply of underwear, and now conscripts are being asked to return garments.

The returned items are washed, cleaned and checked, according to Hans Masingset, a spokesman for the defense logistics.
