In the Moscow Botanical garden of Fomin (underground station Universitet) again blossom, the oldest in Europe palm livistona. This was reported in Pablo Dobre Club in Facebook.

Palm Livistona australis comes from Australia and preserves genetically inherent rhythm of development – it blooms just when her homeland comes hot summer.

“Kiev palm livistona is a jewel of a collection of subtropical plants, has national heritage status. Reaches 28 metres in height, and it is for her in the 70-ies of the last century was reconstructed glasshouses (increased height up to 35 meters). The new terms were so favorable that in 1979, the palm tree first blossomed”, – stated in the message.
