Shinzo Abe paid tribute in Jerusalem: photo

Jerusalem's String Bridge has been lit up with the colors of the Israeli and Japanese flags in solidarity with the Japanese people following the assassination last week of former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.

“The City of Jerusalem expresses its condolences to the Japanese people and mourns the death of a friend of Israel, a great leader of its people,” Jerusalem Mayor Moshe Lion said in a statement.

The Japanese Embassy in Israel reacted to the installation and thanked the Jerusalem Municipality and Moshe Lyon “for a touching tribute to Shinzo Abe.”
