Japan recorded a record daily increase in coronavirus cases.
According to Kyodo, over 50,200 infections were registered per day.
More than 11,000 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus in Tokyo.
According to doctors, this increase in cases is due to the Omicron strain of coronavirus.
