Greece banned playing music on New Year's Eve

Greece has banned music on commercial sites during the New Year celebrations. New restrictions were introduced due to the rapid increase in the incidence of Omicron.

The restrictions were expected to come into force on January 3, but now they will take effect from December 30.

On Tuesday, the daily number of infections increased to 22 thousand, considering that this is twice more than the anti-record that was recorded the day before.

According to Minister of Health Thanos Pleuris, Greece has a new strain of coronavirus, Omicron; became dominant.

Among the new quarantine restrictions:

mandatory mask regime in supermarkets and public transport;
changes in the schedule and an additional order regarding remote work for civil servants;
entertainment venues will close at midnight. At the same time, they will be allowed to work until 02:00 on New Year's Eve.
