For the third day, French firefighters are fighting a large-scale fire near the wine-producing center of France, Bordeaux.
More than 1,000 firefighters, supported by fire planes, are fighting the elements.
Large-scale fire forced thousands of people to leave their homes, destroyed more than a dozen houses and burned more than 6,800 hectares of forest.
“It's a disaster, economic, environmental, it's terrible. The territory is completely disfigured. Our hearts are broken, we are exhausted,” Jean-Louis Darthiel, mayor of Hostens, a small town near the fire, told Radio Classique.
