Archaeologists have discovered in the Bulgarian capital Sofia Neolithic burial, which is estimated at 7.6 thousand years. As reported by the online edition of the Chronicle.info with reference to zn.ua the burial was found on the territory of the settlement of Slatina, which existed eight thousand years ago.
Settlement of Slatina, which was named after the nearby river, was accidentally discovered in the 1950’s. In 1958 there began excavations, during which the researchers found houses, as they are the foci, and ceramics. Presumably, some of the houses in the settlement was the largest Neolithic dwellings of that time: the area of one of them was nearly 300 square meters, the area of two — 147 and 117 square meters, respectively. During the follow-up security work, the scientists found in Slatina stone tools and weapons and burial. According to researchers, the settlement has existed for 500 years, between 7.5 and 8 thousand years ago.

Now scientists have found a burial, which was done in about 7.6 thousand years ago near the house on the outskirts of the village. After examining the remains, scientists have suggested that the grave was buried a woman with a child. But to confirm this, you need to spend osteoliticski analysis of the remains. In addition to graves, scientists found household utensils and religious objects, in particular bone spoons, ceramics and part of the tables for sacrifices.
