The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) has confirmed that a third child has died after being infected with Streptococcus A.

The latest death was of a child who attended St John's School in Ealing, West London.

According to the BBC, it was reported yesterday that one child had died from the infection in Wales. Another child infected at a primary school in Surrey died last month.

Group A streptococcal infection can cause scarlet fever.
