That night, the IDF raided villages around the city of Jenin in the West Bank. As part of the raid, the military searched for terrorists who fired at the Homesh outpost, as a result of which one Israeli was killed and two others were injured.
According to Palestinian media, the searches were concentrated in the area of the city of Kfar Rai , southwest of Jenin. Searches were also carried out in the Palestinian villages of Sanur and Jaba.
It should be reminded that on Thursday evening a car leaving Homesh came under fire. As a result of the terrorist attack, 25-year-old Israeli Yehuda Dimentman died, leaving his wife and one-year-old child. Hundreds of people came to the funeral of the victim of the shelling.
The IDF night raid began a few hours after the site where the attack took place was visited by the chief of staff of the Israel Defense Forces Aviv Kochavi. He promised that the search operation will continue until the attackers are captured.
“The Israel Defense Forces and security forces continue to pursue the terrorists involved in the attack. We will not stop until we catch the terrorists.” – said Kohavi.
According to press reports, the Israeli security forces fear that terrorists may launch another attack before they are caught.
