IDF did not enter Jenin for 8 months at the request of Abu Mazen

The former commander of the Menashe brigade, Oren Zini, said that the IDF did not enter Jenin for 8 months at the request of the head of the Palestinian Authority, Mahmoud Abbas.
The last time the IDF entered Jenin was on August 15, 2021.
Defense Minister Benny Gantz met with Mahmoud Abbas in Ramallah on August 29.
Earlier, IDF officers reported that the political leadership prohibits them from operating openly in Jenin, and in particular in the Jenin refugee camp. As a result, Jenin has once again become a stronghold of Palestinian terrorism.
