IDF Chief of Staff: Acts of revenge distract from the fight against terror

IDF Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi condemned the acts of revenge against the Palestinians.
He made such a statement, speaking to graduates of the Navy in Haifa commenting on the pogroms in Hawara.
“Savage lawlessness and violence against soldiers and harm to Palestinians and their property as acts of revenge — these are the points we must condemn. These events distract the IDF forces from fighting terror,” he warned.
According to Halevi, such actions almost led to a huge number of injuries as a result of violent attacks against soldiers.
He promised that the military will continue to act decisively to bring all terrorists to justice.
“We must preserve ourselves as a single nation in the face of multiple challenges,” he added.
