Ichilov Hospital will expand to Rishon Lezion

Hospital “Ichilov” (Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center) announced that it has received a request from the municipality of Rishon LeZion to build a 25,000 square meter emergency department in the Elef quarter. At a later stage, the facility will be expanded to 50,000 square meters.

This development is part of the planned expansion of the Ichilov Hospital. outside the existing campus in central Tel Aviv. According to the plans, the hospital “Ichilov” will also open three new branches in different parts of Tel Aviv – in the WIZO complex on the corner of Weizmann and David Hamelech streets next to the existing hospital, in the northwest of Tel Aviv, as part of the “3700” and an additional site in the south of the city.

“We plan to build two emergency departments and an outpatient clinic in Rishon LeZion and North Tel Aviv, which will be ready in three to four years, and then another one in South Tel Aviv. We are moving beyond the physical boundaries of the hospital and moving its services to other places, – said Vice President “Ichilov” Logistics and Infrastructure Avi Ben-Zaken.
