On Thursday, January 27, explosions were recorded in the area of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant temporarily seized by Russia in Ukraine.
This was reported by the International Atomic Energy Agency.
According to the IAEA, strong explosions were recorded near the Zaporizhzhya NPP. In total, the inspectors counted about eight explosions, which vibrated the windows of the offices at the plant.
According to the director general of the agency, Rafael Grossi, signs of hostilities near the ZNPP underline the vital importance of the speedy agreement and implementation of a nuclear safety zone and protection around the plant.
