Husband of Israeli woman killed in Egypt:

Orit Peled, an Israeli woman who died while on holiday in Egypt, had an epileptic seizure while diving.

According to her husband, local rescuers did not have sufficient knowledge of cardiopulmonary resuscitation to save her.

The deceased's husband, Itzik, stated that Orit was an experienced diver, and despite epilepsy continued to dive .

“She was on medication and didn't have seizures all the time,” he said.

According to him, they went diving again. Half an hour later, the man swam out, and Orit Peled continued to swim.

“I suddenly saw that something was wrong. I called the lifeguard and told him to go into the water, but they did not know how to make an artificial breathing. They didn't have the equipment. There was a tourist who gave her artificial respiration, but it didn't help,” he said.
