Thousands of houses were flooded or demolished by the elements, tens of thousands of people were left homeless.
El Salvador authorities reported less at least 7 victims: two people were buried under a collapsed house, five more soldiers died during rescue operations.

Honduras officials have reported 28 casualties so far.

By Wednesday, Hurricane Julia reached Mexico, causing flooding in Acapulco and other cities in the Mexican state of Guerreroacapulco.
