Israeli Health Minister and Meretz leader Nitzan Horowitz expressed hope that US President Joe Biden's visit will lead to progress in the Israeli-Palestinian peace process.

Haruts Sheva reports.

“Biden's visit can and should lead to progress in the diplomatic process with the Palestinians. The calm in Gaza, the talks between the prime minister and the president of the Palestinian Authority, the meeting between the defense minister and Abbas in Ramallah – all this indicates the possibility of change, ”Horowitz wrote on social networks.< br />
The Minister also recalled that the United States returned financial support to the Palestinian Authority.

“Now we need to resume negotiations on a permanent settlement,” the head of Meretz concluded.< br />
