Heroically fought: new details about the last days of Whitney Houston's life < /p>

Singer Whitney Houston continued to struggle with her addictions days before her death. This was told by producer Clive Davis, who worked with the singer throughout her career.

He told Page Six that he saw Houston 48 hours before her death.

“I was with her 48 hours before she died,” he said, adding that it never occurred to him that she would die in two days.

The producer recalled: “She showed me what she was doing in a rehabilitation center. She wanted to start going to the studio … I never would have thought 48 hours before her death that she would die, that her life would come to this terrible, premature end. During this period, she made heroic attempts to give up drugs and rehabilitate.

Whitney Houston died on February 11, 2012 at the age of 48. She was found unconscious in the bathroom. Doctors stated that her death was accidental and was caused by drowning and “the consequences of atherosclerotic heart disease and cocaine use.”
