 Head of Ramon prison suspected of smuggling phones to prisoners

Lahav 433 investigators launched an investigation after receiving information about the involvement of the head of the Ramon prison; to smuggling phones to prisoners.

Israeli TV channel 13 reports.

A 30-year-old resident of Ofakim is suspected of alleged violations. According to investigators, he gave cell phones to a life-sentenced prisoner in exchange for a bribe.

On Tuesday, February 14, the head of the prison was detained and sent for interrogation. The investigation is ongoing.
