A 53-year-old woman was found unconscious on the morning of February 12 at her home on Ha Nasi Street in Lod. The MADA medics and paramedics who arrived at the scene reported that the woman was found without signs of life with traces of violence, and they had to ascertain her death on the spot.

Meanwhile, Lod police officers began investigating the circumstances of the case and arrested the man on the spot, after he called the police and reported that he had killed his wife. The husband hit the woman on the head with dumbbells, and immediately after reporting to the police, the man left the house. The suspect, a resident of Lod, aged about 50, will appear before the court at the end of the investigation. The police will file a motion to extend the detention.
