A civilian security coordinator for the Har Braha settlement near Nablus was removed from his post on Monday after an initial investigation found he was giving the settlers tear gas to use against the Palestinians, a spokesman for the IDF said Tuesday.
An initial investigation found that a security coordinator was present at a clash between settlers and Palestinians near the village of Burin last Friday and fired tear gas at the Palestinians.
a deviation from what is expected of a qualified security agent, and therefore it was decided to investigate him together with the commander of the Brigade “Sama riya" and remove him from his post until the end of the investigation”, — said an IDF spokesman.
The security coordinator is also under investigation by the Israeli police.
