On Monday, December 12, Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh said that the Islamic movement opened a new chapter in the conflict with the Zionist government, uniting the leadership of the “resistance” with public policy management. In a speech on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the founding of Hamas, Haniyeh said that “Jerusalem is the heart of the conflict with the Zionists.”

In this context, Haniyeh threatened Israel, stating: “We will never allow the Zionist plans to be realized.” in the Al-Aqsa Mosque or in Jerusalem in general”.

Commenting on the Israeli policy of “Judaization” Temple Mount, Ismail Haniyeh said: “Zionists should not believe that the road will be paved for them with roses, it will be paved with fire,” and added: “If the Zionist government believes that it can realize its plans in Jerusalem and Palestine, then this is nonsense.

Haniya stressed that Hamas will “cut off the hand that will be placed on the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the West Bank will become fire and flame before the occupiers.” and that the Palestinian people “will bury the Israeli government on its way to eliminate the Zionists from the land of Palestine.”

He pointed out that a “new intifada” was taking place in Judea and Samaria. and that “fighting is escalating despite attempts by the occupiers to assert control.”

The Hamas leader said the Palestinian people will not surrender to Israeli policies and is confident that “we will see a actions and operations in and around the West Bank”.
