Hamas leader and Iranian Foreign Minister held talks

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian and Hamas Politburo Chief Ismail Haniyeh had a telephone conversation, Tehran Times reports.

During the talks, they discussed the recent escalation in Gaza.

“It is a great achievement that the Resistance was once again able to counter the enormous military power of the Zionist enemy and force them to accept a ceasefire on the terms of the Resistance within two days,” the Iranian foreign minister said.

In turn, the Hamas leader highly appreciated Iran's assistance to the Palestinians. Haniyeh stated that “the Zionist enemy tried to impose his will” on the Palestinian people and the Resistance in Gaza, but met with the valiant resistance of the Palestinian people.
